The Asshole and the Angel — Part IV...The Universe Speaks

The Universe smiled.

“Well...”

“That was fun.”

“I know.”

“Some of you spent this entire story trying to figure out whether the angel and the asshole end up together.”

The Universe laughed.

“You humans are adorable.”

“You always want to know the ending.”

“But I wasn’t trying to tell you their story.”

“I was trying to help you recognize your own.”

The room became quiet.

The stars seemed to pause.

“So...”

“Let’s talk.”

“How many times have you hidden your feelings because you were afraid of looking foolish?”

“How many times have you convinced yourself that silence was safer than honesty?”

“How many times have you mistaken pride for strength?”

“And how many opportunities quietly passed by while everyone waited for someone else to make the first move?”

The Universe looked around the room.

“Some of you are the angel.”

“You keep loving.”

“You keep believing.”

“You keep seeing the good in people.”

“But somewhere along the way, you started wondering if anyone would ever choose you without asking you to become less of yourself.”

The Universe smiled gently.

“Please don’t.”

“The world doesn’t need a smaller version of you.”

“It needs an honest one.”

Then the Universe turned.

“And some of you...”

“You’ve been the asshole.”

“Oh, don’t look so offended.”

“I don’t mean you’re cruel.”

“I mean you’ve become so practiced at protecting yourself that you’ve forgotten how to let yourself be known.”

“You learned how to impress people.”

“But not always how to trust them.”

“You learned how to appear confident.”

“But not always how to admit when you were afraid.”

“And sometimes...”

“You confused being admired...”

“...with being loved.”

Those two things are not the same.

The Universe folded its arms.

“And then there are those of you who have been both.”

The angel.

The asshole.

The wounded one.

The healer.

The one who ran.

The one who waited.

Sometimes...

All in the same lifetime.

The Universe chuckled.

“Humans are wonderfully complicated.”

“You spend years trying to protect your hearts...”

“...without realizing your heart was never asking for a fortress.”

“It was asking for someone safe enough to share it with.”

The wind moved softly through the trees.

“Remember this.”

“Love is not proven by how hard someone makes you chase them.”

“Love is not measured by how long someone can keep you guessing.”

“Love is not built on almosts.”

“It is built on honesty.”

“It is built on consistency.”

“It is built on choosing one another again...”

“...and again...”

“...and again.”

The Universe pointed toward the sky.

“Stop asking whether someone is your destiny.”

“Ask instead...”

“’Who am I becoming while I love?’”

“Does this relationship invite honesty?”

“Does it encourage growth?”

“Can both people be fully themselves without fear?”

“Can they disagree without punishment?”

“Can they celebrate each other’s light without shrinking their own?”

“If the answer is yes...”

“Treasure it.”

“If the answer is no...”

“Have the courage to acknowledge it.”

The Universe smiled one last time.

“And one more thing...”

“To the angels...”

“Never apologize for loving deeply.”

“But never abandon yourself in the process.”

“And to the assholes...”

The Universe couldn’t help but laugh.

“Being vulnerable has never made you weak.”

“It has only ever made you real.”

The stars shimmered.

The story was over.

Or perhaps...

It was only beginning.

Because the angel and the asshole were never meant to be mirrors only for each other.

They were meant to become mirrors for anyone willing to ask one simple question before walking away from this story:

Am I protecting my heart...

...or am I protecting my fear?

The Universe stood, smiled at every reader, and quietly whispered:

“Whatever answer you found today...”

“I hope it helps you love yourself...”

“...and those around you...”

“...a little more honestly tomorrow.”

Now... go kiss them if they’re still sitting next to you, you dorks. LOL.

And if I’m being honest...

Sometimes I’m scared of love too.

I’ve been hurt a lot.

I’m an old-school romantic, and in today’s world... well... sometimes that can get me into trouble. I still believe in showing up, choosing someone consistently, and loving deeply. Maybe that’s old-fashioned, but I’m okay with that.

Even when love doesn’t happen the way I hoped it would...

I guess I’ve learned to let the Universe lead.

If the person who is truly meant to be with me exists, I imagine they won’t keep letting me slip away. They won’t keep me guessing. They’ll choose me just as I choose them.

Until then...

I’m going to keep building.

Our legacy if they arrive...

My legacy if they don’t.

Either way, I’m going to be okay, my loves.

And so will you.

Because no matter what happens, the one person you should never stop choosing... is yourself.

And besides...

There’s always plenty of toys.

LMAO.

Literally.

Personally, I order mine online because walking into one of those stores is a whole experience. You’re standing there thinking, “Well... I guess everyone knows my business now.” LOL.

But hey...

No judgment.

Anywhooo...

I hope you all enjoyed this little mini-series.

And to the asshole out there...

Yeah...

I hope you enjoyed it too.

LOL.

Love Your Silvia ❤️

P.S. Do any of you ever order that kind of stuff online and then get all excited like Santa’s bringing you presents? LMAO.

Like... you buy candles, make the room all nice, tell yourself you’re going to have a relaxing self-care night...

...and then you lay everything out on the bed like some mob boss preparing for an interrogation.

LMAO.

I’m just wondering if that’s a thing...

Or if I’ve simply... heard that happens.

LOL... LOL... LOL...
